Torment followed down the stairs, although he hadn't seen which way Bier had gone. Chuckling to himself, he pulled one of the many pointed tools off of his back, "I've only come to check up on you."

Of course this was a total lie, and it hadn't sounded like Torment had meant it any other way.

Bier remained perfectly silent in his cupboard. Well, except for the quiet whimpering and soft "ow ow ow there's tupperware in my back this hurts so much", anyway.

He resisted yelling at Torment that he didn't want a check-up, but still whispered it to himself. He shifted position before finally settling down for the most comfortable one available. Like this, he tried to remain.

Torment, who apparently had a very low patience level when it came to waiting for his patient to appear, had started smashing things. A rather destructive doctor, he was. He hadn't gotten to the cupboard yet but he'd get there eventually. Despite his destructive attitude at the time he continued insisting that he had nothing but Bier's best interest in mind and also found it necessary to yell at Leech who was still following him around like a lost puppy.

Huddled up, Bier was facing a dilemma. He could either stay where he was, hoping that Torment would just sort of miss his hiding place but if Torment DIDN'T miss his hiding place... Then he'd have nowhere else to run to. But if he tried to run now, he'd definately be seen and have to go out into the crowds.

For a moment, the mental image of Torment tearing through the humans like a bowling ball through bowling pins surfaced. He quickly shook it away, and nicked his helmet fin on something as he did. Then he stopped, noticing the amount of noise. He's gonna be here soon!

He dashed out of his cupboard, stumbling a bit, in an attempt to escape from the cornered position he would soon have been in. Well, except for the fact that Torment was still not near his cupboard.

Plan B initiated! No time to change plan! he thought to himself, not even very sure why, as he followed up on his earlier tactic. He tried to sprint out of a window, and then planned to just keep dashing into the crowds. Hopefully, Torment would lose him among such an amount of people.

Also hopefully, he wasn't too angry about that stab to the shoulder.

Despite the fact that tossing aside various people and smashing others was probably not going to unnoticed, Torment proceeded to do so in his chase after Bier--which granted still was very slow. Apparently no one had ever taught him the meaning of hurry and lucky for Bier, he didn't have the best eye sight and it wasn't long before he had lost track of Bier all together and began lifting humans off the ground in search of him.

Leech scurried out behind him. he would've been far better at tracking down Bier than Torment would be, but the zetraloid didn't seem interested in helping Torment at all as much as he did in the food a poor random person had been holding.

Bier tried to avoid laughing to himself as he escaped from Torment, but had a hard time when he noticed him picking up random humans as if to look beneath him. He found a good hiding place, and hid there. The police would take care of Torment, so he just had to sit and wait until everything was done with.

Torment tossed aside another human in frustration over losing Bier, which no doubt was hazardous to the poor being's health. Scanning the area once more, he still caught no sight of Bier, much to his displeasure.

The humans were no doubt, a bit alarmed by his general behavior now and many had retreated from the area, making it a little easier for him to walk around at least--well, until he got in trouble for the mess he had made most likely.

The human yelped as he hit the ground. Most civilians and humans were definately helpless against a monstrous zetraloid like Torment. Yet, as the crowd thinned, someone decided that he had enough of the Shapeshifter Hunter's shenanigans.

"For chrissakes, why during vacation of all times..." he grumbled to himself as he left the crowds of cowering civilians. Even amongst them, he stood out quite a bit, and now he just stood out more. He was a black human, probably in his thirties, and in top form. He wore a plain blue shirt, and surprisingly baggy pants. However, he discarded these as he walked, revealing darkishly blue armor underneath it. What stood out the most was the fact that he had a large rifle strapped onto his back, and a belt with some other tools (why he brought that onto vacation, nobody knew). Well...

That, and the fact that he was one-armed. This wasn't to say that he only had one arm, just that he had only one ORGANIC arm. Lost in some kind of accident no doubt, his left arm had been replaced by a mechanical one.

He stopped in Torment's path, pointing at him with his mechanical hand. "Stop throwing humans around!" he bellowed. "We aren't some kind of toys for you to play with!"

"Good luck daddy!" called a black girl from the crowd he had left, seven years old and black-haired, wearing some rather gaudy and ribbony clothes. He smiled slightly.

Torment stopped, at least momentarily as he surveyed this, interesting being in front of himself. The horn like objects on either side of his head rotated to the opposite direction, not that it really did anything. It was probably more out of habit of stopping to think. Evidently the choice right now was what to do about this confrontational being.

Leech had stopped a ways behind Torment, head tilted to one side quizzically as he listened.

Torment evidently wasn't one to think things through too long, because his end decision wasn't the best. He simply raised his arms up in a motion of a somewhat sorry shrug as if to apologize for the fact the being didn't like his behavior...and then went right back to it.

"I said to stop it!" the man yelled again, clenching his human hand tightly. But he knew that he was being ignored, and took the rifle from his back in one smooth move, aiming it at Torment. "Do it before I shoot!"

He kept an eye on Leech, but mostly? He made sure that Torment didn't approach the particular group of humans where his daughter was hiding.

Torment did stop his pursuit of humans although he looked in such a way as if this stupid human didn't understand the importance of his 'mission.' He turned once more to face the human which may not have been the brightest move, but at least he didn't attempt attacking as well.

"I'm on a mission." He announced, in his muffled voice, it had a hint of 'what's your problem?' to the way he had said it.

"A mission to attack and harm random humans?" the man asked. He tilted his head to the side lightly, muttering to himself. "What kind of messed up criminals are in this place..."

He narrowed his eyes and corrected his aim, laying the rifle's sight on Torment's head. No... It would be too easy to duck. He lowered his aim somewhat, to the middle of where his target's ribcage should be. "No matter what your mission it, stop it."

"They're in my way." He insisted although seemed smart enough not to chance retuning to his act of attacking them, "I'm on no mission to harm them, I'm chasing a dangerous Shapeshifter."

Evidently, Leech took this as them being friendly to each other...although how, was hard to understand. So he came bounded over to them, oblivious to the fact, he could look in any form, a danger.

"You're more dangerous than any shapeshifter. You won't find him by throwing people around!" the man yelled, again. Then he noticed Leech, and quickly realized that he couldn't aim at both of them at once. "Stop your pet!"

Torment wasn't particularly thrilled by he way the man was responding, but nevertheless wasn't in a good place to argue. Leech came sliding to a stop upon the man yelling, obviously getting the hint things weren't as friendly as he thought but Torment went ahead and told him to stop it anyway--if nothing more for the sake of keeping the man from getting any more upset.

"He's small." Torment tried reasoning once more, "How else do you expect me to track him down? I can't help the fact humans seem to think they can interfere."

"How does throwing humans around help you find anyone?" the man sneered. He knew better than to lower his guard, especially with how Torment hadn't seemed to be searching for anyone in particular. "If this shapeshifter is such a danger, then aren't you meant to protect the humans? Not throwing them around?"

"Umm...." Torment's hornlike helmet fins drooped down as if realizing he really couldn't justify what he had been doing by any means. True he could see the ground around them just fine once they started thinning out, and throwing that other random human afterward, had been nothing but pure anger at having lost track of Bier, "I suppose I did get a bit carried away...in my search."

Leech just sat where he was, wagging his tail back and forth absent minded. VERY absent minded, as he was more concerned with trying to smell out food and wondering where Bier had gone.

The human finally lowered his rifle. "Good. Now be more careful... I'll keep an eye on you. Don't throw more people around."

Turning his back to the two, he walked back to the now less frightened crowd and his cheering daughter.

Torment nodded his head in reply before turning to Leech and kicking him as if this were all his fault. Leech yelped and rolled over before curling all his limbs close to his body. Torment stared at him for a moment, and then tried, less aggressively, to find Bier amongst the humans.

The black man didn't seem to particularly care how Torment treated Leech, and quietly picked up his discarded clothes as he and his daughter resumed walking to wherever they were headed.

Bier, having hidden in another building, was not about to let himself be found or caught, of course. He just planned to wait until night and then return to Bitz.

Torment watched them go, making no attempt to hide the fact he did not like them and somewhat quietly mocked what he had said--yeah that was much easier now that he didn't have a rifle pointed at him.

Back to his previous mission though, the city was too big with too many hiding places. Bier could be anywhere for all he knew. So, he settled for leaving Leech there--once more to try and find them by tracking him, although chances were slim they'd fall for it again.

Once night fell, Bier snuck out of his hiding place. He didn't plan to stop for any Leech, and just walked straight back to the abandoned building where his sister hid. Of course, Leech wasn't guaranteed to leave him alone...

He had neglected to take care of his wounds, save for bandaging them. He didn't quite like that, but his medical expertise was about as good as that of Torment so he couldn't do more.

Leech didn't leave his friends alone, despite the fact he had tried biting Bier earlier. He assumed they were still good buddies and headed back to the building as well. He wasn't being sneaky though, rather he uttered one of his shrill cries that ended sounding like somewhat questioning in tone--no doubt it was his call to his friends, wondering where they were at exactly.

Bier found that Leech arrived before he did - well, atleast Torment didn't seem to be around. But considering how easily Leech could give them away AGAIN, Bier walked up and tried to yank at Leech's collar.

"I'm here, now be quiet..." he said, somewhat quietly. "You'll attract that guy again."

Leech yelped in surprise when Bier yanked his collar, but soon was perfectly happy upon realizing it was one of his friends. He wagged his tail back and forth before attempting to lick Bier--much contrary to trying to bite him earlier when they had been running.

"Oh, don't act so innocent..." Bier mumbled, but let himself be licked as he pulled Leech indoors. "If you're gonna stay with us, we have to get rid of that tracking thing of yours."

He walked upstairs to where he had hidden Bitz and let her out, all the while thinking about where the tracker could be.

"Stay, yeah!" Leech answered rather...loudly as he wagged his tail with enthusiasm. "Then I protect! Yeah!" Evidently the whole 'we have to get rid of the tracking thing' didn't bother him in the least...that or he'd managed not to hear it at all. Either way, he was perfectly blissful as he hopped about, demonstrating how he could 'protect' them. He slid to a stop once Bitz was out--a total change of attitude setting in as he sat there rather patiently and wagged his tail all the while smiling at Bitz.
