Story: A unit of Galactic Federation marines have been stationed on a planet far off from the main body of the federation forces. This unit recieves a new leader with the arrival of veteran trooper Zylos Freeman. The base soon comes under attack and the troopers must survive this and many more battles to come.

Trooper types: ((I made up alot of these. With the exeptions of standard, demolition, and PED. I might think up more in the process of recruiting.))

Marine Trooper
Standard Federation Trooper. Decent armor and average combat systems.

Demoliton Trooper
Weaker armor then standard trooprs but equipped with explosives.

Medic Trooper
Little to no armor and little means of weapons. Weilds a type on nanotech cabapable of healing minor wounds on allies on battle. Trained to recognize and treat many diffrent illnesses and creatures.

Aerial Trooper
Decent armor systems, armed with protoype jetpack technology and missle launcher systems.

Tech Trooper
Unskilled in combat but trained in computer science and mechanical engineering. Mainly found abord reshearch ships or repairing broken equipment.

PED Trooper
Elite Trooper armed with experimental Phazon-Enhancment-Device. Capable of harnessing phazon energy from exterior backpack for temporary boost in offensive and defensive systems.

Stealth Trooper
Weak armor and weapons but equipped with prototype cloaking device.

Tank Trooper
Heavy armor and weapons systems, but the energy sheilding of the armor restricts movment, slowing the troopers down.

Pyro Marine
Standard trooper equipped with a flamethrower.

Night Trooper
Troopers trained for work during the night or missions on dark planets. Donning a black version of of standard marine armor, a night vision visor setting, and a sniper rifle equip on their gun.

Prolouge:The Assignment

Federation command called for him. He didn't know why, nor for what. Zylos Freeman had been a Galactic Federation Trooper for almost ten years. He was a veteran of the liberation war of Wotan VII, assisting there as a standard trooper. He'd occasionally go off in a fit of talking about a friend of his from then called Ghor. Zylos had recently been promoted to a PED trooper, given an experimental Phazon enhancment device. He liked it fairly well, sure beat being a generic trooper.

Zylos walked up the ramp and opened the door that lead into the comfrence room aboard the G.F.S Hael. He saluted the commanding officer as he walked into the room. He was a fairly good friend of Fleet Admiral Ryan, the two had been serving on the same ship for quite awhile.

"At ease ZF. No need for the formality." Admiral Ryan waved his hand, dismissing the gesture.

Zylos took a seat, looking at Ryan through the visor of his helmet "Sorry sir, force of habit."

Admiral Ryan nodded "Right, right. ZF, we've worked in the same service for a long time."

"Yessir."

"And honestly, I believe you to be one of the most capable soldiers on this ship." He clasped his hands together solemly.

"Thank you sir."
"So it pains me slightly to tell you that you're being reassigned." The admiral said softly.

ZF felt like his heart skipped a beat, reassigned? To where?! Why?! "To where sir?"

"You're being sent to assist a unit of troopers at the Federation base on the planet Tyres." The admiral explained.

"Tyres?! But that's out of the Federation's body of forces in this system!" ZF paniced slightly, he had heard that they sometimes dumped off troopers at barren planets like this.

"I know ZF. But we have a reason to have this unit stationed there. And I'm sending you there because I believe you're the most qualified to lead that group. You've served for ten years and already survived one war." The admiral explained to him, Zylos couldnt tell if he was being barraged with logic or flattery.

"Yes sir..." ZF sighed quietly, he couldnt defy orders.

"Cheer up man, it's gonna be diffrent for sure. But my informants tell me your old friend Somatomay Darkness is being assigned there as well."

ZF straightened up quickly, Soma? She was being assigned there too? The Medic Trooper had saved his life once before but he hadn't seen her since.

The admiral chuckled lightly "I expected that would be your response. Now, you are to leave immediatly for the planet. Refill your energy, fill up your phazon tanks, get some provisions and head out."

"Yes sir." ZF stood and turned to walk out.

"Oh, and Zylos?"

"Yes sir?" ZF turned his head to look back at him.

"Good luck."

Chapter 1

ZF pulled back on the throttle of his single-man ship as he drew up to the Galactic Federation base on the planet Tyres, running a check on the systems of his suit.

“Armor systems online; 100%. Phazon tanks at full capacity, assault rifle online and functional. Scan systems online, short range communication systems online. Green light on all systems.” ZF read out as he prepared his ship for the landing. He brought the ship to a stop and made a short vertical landing onto the pad and stepped out of the ship. He looked around the base, it was a standard federation outpost. It was in decent shape, he’d seen worse.
ZF approached the gates slowly and stood at the door. Two other troopers were standing at the door. Standard Marines by the looks of it.

“Um, who are you?” One spoke up.

“No Shadow it’s; State your name and rank.” The other said sharply.

“Oh shut up Nathan, I’m just making it simple.” Shadow replied.

‘Oh great, this is gonna go over well.’ ZF thought to himself
“I am First Lieutenant Zylos Freeman. I have been put in command of this unit.”

“Um, okay…” Shadow looked to Nathan “Do we let him in?”

“Duh.” Nathan rolled his eyes behind his visor.

“Fine, Fine.” Shadow pushed a button to open the door “Go on.”

“Proceed.” Nathan cut it.

ZF shook his head and walked in, this was gonna be a hell of a job if the others were like them. He walked through the halls to the main room. Here a tech trooper worked at a computer while a marine looked over his shoulder curiously. A quick scan from ZF’s visor recognized them as Laclipsy and Mega. ZF nodded and looked around at the others. At the table there were two aerial troopers, Gbleek and Suriko apperantly, playing holographic connect four. It was uncertain who was winning. He wondered for a moment where Soma was, telling himself he’d go looking for her soon.

Mega looked up from her place behind Laclipsy at ZF “Whoa! Strange person arrived!”
Everyone looked up suddenly and out of nowhere a group of other troopers appeared in the room. Thankfully Soma was among them. The entire group of troopers looked straight at him.

ZF blinked “Um….hi?”

“Who are you?” Gbleek spoke up.

ZF sighed softly and explained the situation to the troopers.

“OH, so you’re the dude we got the contact about.” Laclipsy nodded.

“Yeah, I suppose that’d be me.” ZF shrugged.

“Alright, well, there’s not a whole lot to do out here. Pretty dormant place.” A demolition trooper named Simian said.

“Well, in any event they sent me to lead you.” ZF said plainly.

“Who says we want you to lead?” Gbleek spoke out.

“Calm down Gbleek.” Soma walked up and stood next to ZF “I know this guy, he’s capable of leading this team.”

“Well, it works for me so long as it doesn’t interfere with my scedeule.” The other demolition trooper, Cajun, yawned.

“Schedule? All you do is Eat, drink, and sleep.” Suriko sneered.

“Exactly.” Cajun replied, putting his feet up.

ZF couldn’t help but smile, this would be fun.

Chapter 2

“So, introductions people. If this has to happen might as well make it a little less akward.” Zylos looked over the group.

“Allow me.” Soma said from his side “Line up everyone. Usual groups.”

Everyone lined up together, some breaking off into small groups.

Soma pointed to one group, an aerial, and two demolition troopers.
“This is Gbleek, Cajun, and Simian. Gbleek is in his second year out of the academy, so he’s not quite new but he’s no veteran either. The two demolitions took part in the Juncan incident, helped blow the blast doors leading to the control room. They’re the slackers, pranksters, ect. Of the group. You know the type.”

ZF nodded “Good to meet you three.”

The three troopers nodded and murmered among themselves.

Soma turned to the second group. Another Aerial, a Marine, and a night trooper “This is Suriko, Mega, and Belbell. Suriko is fresh out of the academy and was considered the best shot in her class…don’t make her mad. Mega came from the same generation as Simian and Cajun…I don’t really know what to say about her.”
Mega nodded happily, her expression unknown behind her visor.

“As for Belbell, she was trained on Nocturus. One of the elite of her unit. I suggest not making her mad either.” Soma explained.

BB shrugged.

“Next group is Brad, a stealth trooper. Decent enough skills. I don’t really know a whole lot about him. Then there’s T_L, he’s a tank trooper. He’s abit sarcastic…okay, A LOT sarcastic. But he’s good in a fight so can’t much hold it against him. And Laclipsy, our tech trooper. He runs everything here in the base.”

ZF nodded lightly, trying to take all of this as a mental note.

“Then the last ones are Shadow, Nathan, and Fred. The formers being standard troopers and the latter a pyro trooper. They’re basically the grunts of our force.”

“Thanks.” All three of them grumbled at once.

ZF nodded “Alright, well, on to business then. I’m going to go take a look what’s around here. You can all return to what you were doing…provided it made any sense.”

“Dang.” Simian grumbled.

“Oh well, I’m off then.” ZF waved his hand and turned around to go explore.

“Allow me to show you around.” Soma spoke up.

ZF smiled lightly “Of course.”

Soma led him off through the halls “these are the bunks, usually three or so troopers to a room.” Soma explained

“But there arn’t too many stationed here so it’s probably one per room, maybe a few with roommates.” ZF chimed in.

“Yup, that’s right. Same old ZF.” Soma laughed. His old friend wasn’t wearing her helmet at the moment so he could see her face. Troopers usually weren’t allowed to remove their helmets unless they were in the bunks. But these troopers didn’t seem to abide to the rules that much.

ZF nodded “Yup, same old me. So what happened to you after the battle at Leyan?”

Soma shrugged “Got transferred to a unit at Norion. Pretty boring if you ask me. Waited out a few years there then they sent me here.”

“Speaking of which, how long has this little group been here?” ZF asked, the question had been on his mind since he met them.

“We all arrived at different times in the last few cycles. None of us have been here more than a few days.” Soma explained, taking ZF through the dining hall.

“Alright.” ZF looked around “Ugh, a federation mess hall. That’s one thing I hate about being a trooper, no real food.”

“I’d figure you’d be used to it by now.”

“I guess I am but I can still complain about it.” ZF grumbled.

Soma chuckled “Come on. I wanna show you something.”

ZF followed her up a flight of stairs out to a landing bay.

“Take a look.” Soma waved her hand out over the landscape.

ZF stepped out to the edge and stopped, looking out over the land. “Whoa…” The mountians in the distance were housing the setting sun, making a beautiful light.

“Yup, I’ve come up here to watch the sunset these past few days…Something always feels weird when the sun sets here though. Almost like you’re suddenly being watched.” Soma said softly, looking out over the horizon.

ZF nodded “Yeah, well, we should head back inside. I don’t wanna be caught out here at night. I haven’t read up on the nocturnal predators on this planet.”

“Good call.” Soma mused.

The two walked back down the stairs and headed inside. But in the distance, something loomed.

Chapter 3

Zylos and Soma returned inside and went their separate ways off to bed. Zylos eventually found the command quarters, the room was a floor above the regular bunks and was abit roomier then the others. He wasn’t used to being in a room like this, especially after being in regular bunks for almost 10 years but he certainly wasn’t going to complain.
ZF took of his battle suit and put the armor pieces up in the storage rack for the night. He layed out in the bed and let himself drift off to sleep. But that was a night of rest that just wasn’t to be. In the middle of the night the proximity alarm screeched out all throughout the base, red lights tinting the halls. ZF nearly jumped out of the bed out of pure surprise but quickly collected himself and replaced his armor, hoising up his federation assault rifle. Federation Marines were trained for situations like this.
He jammed the open command on his door and quickly made for the elevator, hearing a faint crash in the distance. He sent the open command for the door and hit the button for the first floor. Once the door opened on the stated floor he dashed into the main room to meet the other troopers.
Soma, Laclipsey, and Mega were standing around the control consle. Zylos ran up to them.

“Guys, what’s the situation?” ZF asked quickly.

“We’re under attack!” Mega replied.

“What?! By who?!”

“The ships landing nearby seem to be of space pirate orgin. Some of the others have already gone out to engage them.” Laclipsey explained.

“Alright.” ZF straightened up “I don’t know what they’re doing out in this sector, but they sure aren’t welcome. Laclipsey, keep an eye on the readings and the radar. Mega, keep guard.”

“Yes sir!”

“Soma, come with me. I’m going to go engage the enemy. You tend to any wounded.”

Soma nodded and the two ran off down to corridor to the landing bay.

ZF tapped the side of his helmet for the comm line command and quickly set it for the Federation wavelength.

“Guy’s, what’s our situation?!” He barked over the comm link.

“Not looking good sir!” Suri’s voice came over the radio. “There forces are well armed, reinforcements are flowing in and-“

“We’re getting screwed over out here man!” Cajun cut in.

“Alright guys, just hold out. Soma and I are on our way.”

“You better hurry man!” Gbleek shouted.

ZF and Soma quickly put the command for the landing bay door to open and rushed through the gates. They were greeted by the sight of Cajun, Gbleek, Suri, and a few of the others engaged in a battle with a group of almost twenty space pirates.

The troops were taking shelter behind barrels of supplies and makeshift barriers. ZF rushed up and kneeled next to Cajun, letting off a few shots.

“Thank Chuck you’re here man. This is not looking pretty.” Cajun mumbled.

“I noticed. I’ll get my hypermode on to distract them. You set up some explosive charges around the perimiter of the landing dock.”

“We’re not gonna….” Cajun pointed down.

“Yes. Yes we are.” ZF got his gun ready.

“OH HELL YES! This is gonna be beast!” Cajun pumped his fist.

“Let’s go for it. Relay the orders for everyone to get inside.” ZF stood up and jumped over their barrier. He pressed a few buttons on the side of his gun and immediately began to feel the surge of phazon energy pump through his suit “Let’s go!” ZF immediately began to let off shots at the pirate forces. The powerful phazon shots were making quick work of what forces he could hit.

Cajun crept around the edges of the landing bay and looked over the side of it down into the chasm below. “This is gonna be fun.” He put thremal detenator charges in several places around on the floor. “alright ZF we’re ready.”

“Alright man, get inside.” It wasn’t a moment too soon, the saftey feature on ZF’s suit was about to switch off the hypermode and that would have left him horribly vunerable.
All the troopers ran inside and ZF sealed the door.

“Ready Cajun?”

“Ready.”

“Hit it.”

Cajun pressed the detanator button for the charges and the troops watched in awe as the explosions crippled the support beams of the platform and soon enough sent the whole loading bay tumbling down the cliffside, taking the pirate forces down with it.

“Dude! That was awesome!” Nathan shouted.

And then a random boulder flew through the door and crushed Nathan to death.

ZF blinked “Did that make any sense?”

“Nope.” Soma and Cajun both said at once.

Chapter 4

“ZF!” Laclipsy’s voice rang out over the comm link.

“What is it now?” ZF replied, leading his group through the halls.

“BB and Brad’s group have discovered more pirate forces in the eastern wing of the building! They’re heading for the power generator!” The urgency in his voice was clear.

“What?! Damn! “ ZF quickly turned to the others “All of you get down to the generator room! Get going, NOW!” He barked “Don’t let any of the pirates get down there!”
ZF rushed off towards one of the elevators and jammed in the input command to go down while the others dashed off in different directions to find ways down to the basement level heading out in small groups of two. As soon as the elevator opened at the basement floor ZF ran into the retreating BB, knocking both to the ground.

“What? BB? What’s going on?” ZF asked as he slowly stood up and helped her stand.

“We gotta get out of here ZF! The pirates have damaged the generator, it’s gonna blow any minute now!” BB said in a panic.

“What?! NO!” ZF quickly flicked on the comm link and shouted out orders “Everyone evacuate the facility! Pirate forces have ruptured the generator and that thing is gonna explode any minute now! Everyone get the hell out of here!”

There were several paniced shouts over the commlink and everyone started rushing to the exits of the facility.

ZF dashed off but stopped and looked back when he noticed BB hadn’t moved. “Come on BB! We gotta get out of here!”

“But what about Brad?! He’s still back there!”

“Damn!” ZF bit his lip “You get going, I’ll find Brad and get him out of here.”

ZF ran back down the corridor past BB. The night trooper watched him and hesitently ran towards the elevator. ZF quickly descended the stairs and pressed himself up against the wall at the bottom of the stairs and looked around the corner. When he didn’t see any signs of enemies he dashed down the hall into the generator room. He looked up at the huge generator unit that supplied power to the facility. The huge machine was sparking like crazy, it obviously wouldn’t withstand much more.

ZF turned quickly as he saw something flicker out of the corner of his eye. He turned and saw Brad flickering out of stelth-mode, pinned under some debris. ZF lifted the metal sheet off of him and helpd him stand.

“Ugh…thanks ZF.” Brad mumbled, holding his head.

“Don’t thank me yet, we’re not out of here yet.” ZF said plainly.

“And you’re not gonna make it out.” Hissed a voice.

A group of space pirates rosef rom hiding and more poured into the generator room, surrounding ZF and Brad.

Brad and ZF rose their guns and looked around.

“ZF, we’re all out of here. Where are you and Brad?!” BB’s voice came over the comm-link.

ZF looked at the massive numbers of pirates in the room and looked to the damaged generator. He looked to Brad and his friend nodded.

“Don’t worry about us BB.” ZF rose his gun and pointed it towards the generator. “Don’t worry….”

He pulled the trigger.

Chapter 5

Two hours later

“Guys! I think I found him!” that voice, it was Simian.

“What?!” footsteps. “We got him! Get Soma over here!” …Mega?
A few minutes later ZF’s eyes opened slightly to the sight of Soma sitting over him and Mega, Simian, and T_L gathered around them.

“Huh…what…?” ZF grunted as he tried to sit up.

“Shhh.” Soma layed him back down softly “Don’t move too much, save your energy.”

“Ugh…where’s Brad?” ZF asked quietly.

“He’s a bit dinged up but he’s better off then you are right now. He’s with some of the others.” Soma explained.

“Ugh…what about the pirate forces?”

“As far as we know they’re completely decimated.” Mega answered.

“That explosion killed them all off.” Simian nodded.

“Was anything salvageable from the base?”

T_L shook his head “We sent a few guys searching through the rubble. Anything that might have operated at some point is fried. No communications, the ships are totaled, and the defense grids are beyond repair.”

“Damn…” ZF groaned.

“Got that right.” Simian mumbled.

“We were able to get salvage some rations and energy cells from the safe.” Mega pointed out.

“Alright, that makes our situation a little better. So we’ve got some food and water and a few energy cells to keep our suits powered.” ZF sat up slowly “For now, everyone shut down your suit’s weapon and shielding systems. We need to conserve power.”

“But sir, that leaves us vulnerable to any pirate stragglers or natural predators.” T_L pointed out.

“While under attack I’d rather be vulnerable for a few moments while I repower my systems than have no power and be vulnerable indefinitely. “ ZF replied.

“Point taken.” T_L nodded.

ZF stood himself up raggedly, Simian hurrying to support him.

“Let’s get back to the others. We’re gonna be in some trouble if our unit is separated come dark.” ZF looked up at the fading light of the sky.

And so the group set off to return to their comrades.


When ZF and his group returned to the others, night was just beginning to fall. They had built a small cover from the wreckage of the base and a fire had been started courtesy of Fred.

“Well isn’t this just wonderful.” Gbleek grumbled.

“Oh, shut up Gbleek. We don’t need you’re commentary.” Suri snapped.

“You wanna start something girl?” Gbleek growled.

“Alright, calm down you two. We certainly don’t need fighting in our situation.” Soma sighed.

“What are we gonna do guys?” Simian asked there was a bit of worry in his voice.

“Don’t worry man, we got this under control.” Cajun layed himself out.

“Do we Cajun? Do we really?” Laclipsy raised an eyebrow.

“Yup.” Cajun yawned.

“SPACE GUM!!!!!” Mega suddenly ran by everyone waving around a piece of ordinary gum.

ZF blinked “She’s not normal, is she?”

“Nope.”

ZF shook his head “Anyway. Get some rest you guys. I’ll stay up for awhile and keep first watch.”

“Wake me up when you need to rest.” Suri shrugged.

The others made their various resting places around the fire while ZF sat himself on a rock and prepared for his watch.

Chapter 4

Could have figured the explosion didn't rid them of all the space pirates. =\ I just don't know why I didn't think of it before now. xD Wow the pirates are efficient. Shut down that generator FAST. Ohhh Brad is still back by the generator. =O I see, so he was trapped. Wow that was unexpected. xD I thought ZF and Brad were going to fight their way out, not suicide. @_@

Chapter 5

Wow so they both survived. =. I wonder how the space pirates fared. xD Hmm I see they are not in a great situation. How heavy are their suits with no power? The same? I've always wondered if the suits assisted them in movement or anything. Ha ha. xD Fred started the fire. This fic is authentic.

You did a great job with those two chapters. Very entertaining.

Lol, thanks Brad.

But you know, you have to look at their situation. They were surrounded by a massive amount of space pirates ready to slaughter them. The generator was near the point of explosion and they were the only two who hadn't made it out of the facility. Plus, the generator was gonna blow one way or another. Personally, I would have done exactly what they did. Better to die and take the pirates with you then just die by one of their guns and leave nothing between them and the rest of the troopers.

As for the suit situation, I'm not entirely sure XD Ironically T_L's suit would let him move better without power XD

But on a not-completly-but-kinda-unrelated-note; One thing I don't understand is in the Metroid Prime games, if Samus' suit runs out of energy the life-support system on her suit shuts down and she dies.

Does she really need the life-support THAT bad?! She's ridicliously fit and healthy, not to mention she seems to handle herself fine without her suit all together! If she depended on the life support that much, at the end of the games when she takes her suit off she should drop dead in a few second. I just don't get it.

My fave part is still when we're celebrating and that rock fell Nathan. XP

Chapter 6

It was a fairly uneventful night. After a few hours ZF eventually woke up Suri and let her keep watch. When morning came ZF roused the whole team and started giving out orders.
“Alright guys. Here’s our situation. We have no contact with Galactic Federation forces and our base is destroyed. We have limited rations and we don’t know the status of sentient life on this planet.” ZF explained “So, I’m going to have to break us up into groups.”
ZF lined everyone up and prepared to make the groups “My first concern is our food and water supply. Brad, I want you to take Belbell and Gbleek to go and look for any food sources in the area.”

Brad nodded and BB and Gbleek came to his side.

“Mega, Laclispy, and T_L.” I want you three to go back to the destroyed base and see if you can rig up SOMETHING to get communications out.

The three nodded and got ready to go.

“Simian, Fred, Shadow; You three stay here and keep guard of camp. I don’t want anything sneaking in here and stealing our supplies while we’re gone.”

Simian shrugged “Whatever you say.”

“Soma, Cajun, you two are coming with me. We’re gonna do a little exploring and see if we can find any hospitable life around here, or at least SOMETHING that might be of use.”

“Yes sir.” Soma nodded.

“This is gonna be fun.” Cajun grinned under his helmet.

“I want everyone back here come sunset. I don’t want any group out of camp at night. Understood?”

There were a few nods and affermatives.

“Good, men and women, I’ve got one thing to say; good luck, and come back alive. Lets move out!”

Chapter 7

Simian yawned, staring into the vast jungle. "Nothing here..." he thought to himself, taking another bite out of his chocolate bar. The jungle wasn't where he belonged, despite his name. He wasn't used to the elements, he had always lived in colonies, and worked in the technologically advanced bases. A lizard crawled down a tree. Simian watched it closely, observing it's every move. The lizard moved slowly off of the tree, and looked at Simian. Simian looked back at the lizard, and slowly raised his gun. "Food..." he thought, aiming at the lizard. The lizard noticed he was being hunted, and skittered off into the wild.

"Ahh, shit!" Simian yelled, kicking the ground.

"What's wrong?" Shadow asked.

"Damn lizard got away. Almost got it."

"Ahh man, we almosy got something to burn?"

"More like something to eat!" Simian growled back.

After he said this, the trees started rustling. "Get your guns out!" Simian yelled, aiming at the rustling trees. They could tell an animal was coming near them, a large one at that. Shadow became increasingly nervous, shaking from fear. "Stand your ground!" Simian yelled, but Shadow could not do it. He shot at the rustling trees, yelling as he did so. Fred tackled him, and pinned him down.

The rustling stopped. The jungle became silent. Shadow and Fred stood back up, pointing their weapons where the trees were shaking. The group heard a branch crack, and a giant lizard about the size of a tiger pounced on Shadow, taking him in his mouth. Breaking down tents, the lizard charged back into the jungle.

"GO GO GO!" Simian yelled, running towards the lizard. Fred soon followed, but only because Shadow owed him $5. The giant lizard looked back, and took a sharp right. Simian and Fred stopped, and took a right. The lizard used its tail to smack down a log, which the two easily jumped over. Fred took a shot at the lizard, slowing it down enough that Simian could catch up. Simian jumped on the lizard's flailing tail, and held on for his life.

The lizard realized that the two wanted Shadow, and he lobbed him into a tree. Simian climbed up the tail, latching onto the lizard's body with a knife. The lizard tried to shake Simian off, but Simian still held on. He pulled a grenade, and drove it into the lizard's leg. He let go of the lizard, and fell off. The grenade went off, taking the lizard's front right leg with it, halting the lizard to a stop.

Simian stood back up, a little bruised from the fall. He looked at the injured lizard, hissing in pain. Simian pulled his sidearm, and half out of pity, half out of hunger, shot the lizard in the head, ending it's life. Sighing, he picked the lizard up, and threw it over his shoulder.

He went back to Fred and Shadow, throwing the lizard on ground to see his fallen friend. "Fred, is he alright?"

"Yeah...the suit took most of the damage. He's got a couple broken ribs, and he's badly scratched up, but we have stuff back at the base to fix him up."

"Good," Simian said. "We got something to cook up, too. Alright, let's go back."

Not both of us. All four of us XD I gave Cajun the story to do with as he wanted....which resulted in Simian and T_L getting involved. They dragged me back in so each of us have a group XD

I'm waiting to see what kind of disaster unfolds from this XD
