I'm debating whether or not it's better than Beyond the Permafrost, but I think it it. :U It's definitely better than Breathing the Fire, although I gotta listen to that again.

Listening to post-prog-doom band Giant Squid's new album Cenotes.
Stream for the whole album at NPR. First song is cool.
Lol. Vocalist = Brent Hinds mixed with Serj Tankian. Sound = maudlin of the Well mixed with The Ocean. A little Explosions in the Sky in the song Snakehead. Throw in some Diablo Swing Orchestra too.
Now listening to post-techdeath band Ulcerate's newest album. Pretty cool so far. Burning Skies sounds like if you made Isis a death metal band.
Yeah, Gep, check out these bands. Think you'd appreciate the post-metal influences. Damn, post-rock/metal is in everything nowadays, isn't it? It's like the new fad (THE MOST AWESOME FAD EVER).
Anyways, this album by Ulcerate (The Destroyers of All) is pretty aborted son of a sea monkey awesome and I'm only on song two.

Adele's 21 is pretty good. :U
Also, I finally figured out why I don't like sludge metal. Most of the vocals in the genre consist of a kinda hardcore shout. And they ALL sound the same and it's annoying.
Replace them with an actual singer or someone who actually goes the extra mile and incorporates death growls and I'd be fine, but those hardcore shouts annoy the hell out of me.
Gep: Check out Kurt Vile's album Smoke Ring For My Halo. Sounds like if you took the singer for Cage the Elephant and gave him a more Bob Dylan flavor. Except Vile is better than both CtE and Dylan.

Listening to Aminals As Leaders' self-titled. Pretty good now that I really sit down and listen to it. Not as indulgent as I thought before.

Still waiting for Lulu to release to I can finally get my self-imposed torture over with. Also, new Blut Aus Nord album in November.

IN THE MEANTIME... I'll listen to the new Atlas Moth album. Not bad so far. Hasn't blown me away yet, but it's pretty good. Yeah, pretty good. It's like if you black metal'd up a doom band.
New Megadave song. Not bad. Better than Public Enemy No 1, but not as good as Never Dead IMO.
I think this album's going to be a decent album. Nothing special, but not bad.
Greatest music video ever or greatest music video ever? Song wasn't that bad either. It's like the hardcore/metal version of Primus.
