Belbell was about thirteen years old, had her hair up in pigtails and crawling along on the floor beating on things with a meat hammer to quell her insatiable boredom. Her disapproving parents had no idea what to do with her. She was really getting out of control! Just last week they'd caught her holding hands with a boy from school!

"I want some candy, Mama." she shouted, banging her hammer like a gavel on the coffee table. Wood splintered and cracked.

Still staring at the hammer, her mama, Soma, screamed and dug into her purse. Too nervous to dig for it herself, she threw it to the other side of the room away from her.

"Just take it all!"

As her teen child scampered over to it like a monkey to find her sweets, Soma ran screaming out of the house into the arms of her man-child husband, Geo, returning home from work.

"Darling! What are we going to do with this child? She's out of control!" She began sobbing and sneezing snot into the man's shirt, clinging to him for emotional support and comfort.

Geo blinked devoid of thought and struggled to come up with a response.

"Honey... what's for dinner? Did you make me dinner? I've had a long day at work." He pushed her away and went inside to strip down to his underwear and sit in front of the tv scratching himself in two places at once.

Soma watched as he popped the top off a Bud and propped his feet up on the ottoman.

"CANDY!!! I'M OUT OF CANDY!!!" shrieked Bellbell. "DADDY!!!" She jumped upon seeing him and crawled up into his lap as if he was Santa Claus.

"What did you learn at school today, baby?" asked Geo. He tussled her hair and gave her a quarter for acting precious and innocent.

He stared at Soma sitting down in the living room with them all. Seemed like she wanted to discuss something.

"School? I skipped that bs, pop." cackled Belbell, digging into his pockets for more treats. She pulled out a cigar and eyed it enviously.

"Got a light for this cig, pop?"

Soma pointed a finger accusingly at her daughter and shouted. "You little shit! I'm sending you to Bible Camp! You're going to find Jesus and learn the lord's ways and learn morals and discipline. I've failed you as a mother!"

Belbell spit out her candy in shock. "What..." She slapped Geo senseless. "Daddy, don't let her do this! I love you!" Her face began puffing up and her lip started to quiver.

"Uh... Ask your mother, sweetie." Geo nodded confidently and took another swig of his beer. Yeah, it was pretty damn good.

"I hate you! I love my other daddy better!" she shrieked storming off to cry in her room.

"Wait... I'm not the father?" blinked Geo. He stared at his horrified wife.


"I was going to tell you! I swear!" Soma broke down crying.

"Meh......" The husband grunted. "Never did like that daughter anyways."
