Bitz and Bier are two shapeshifter siblings. Bier is the older brother, while Bitz is the younger sister. Originally they were from another city, far away, but ended up travelling while following fake ads looking for shapeshifters.
Neither one knows much about the existance about shapeshifter hunters, for a very simple reason; They share the ability and/or horrible luck to always manage to take the shape of someone in the immediate vicinity, another criminal, or both. Usually someone they just ran past, or even the person chasing them. Thus, even normal people found them out at a moment's notice, until they finally managed to take the shapes they have now; they actually look exactly like two other siblings, but thankfully said siblings were foreigners only there for vacation, and are currently in another country. They're very hesitant to change out of these forms, even when people they don't know apparently know them, but will attempt to in a pinch.
Due to their constant attempts to get the form of something that isn't right behind the corner, they are able to shapeshift three times at once - four if they have to, but this leaves them helplessly delirious and near-unconscious from energy loss.
Bier
Bier is the "leader" of the duo, and comes with most of the ideas. He's not all that bright, but makes up for it (he thinks) with a cheerful and adventurous personality. He cares much for Bitz, and will do anything to make sure she's alright. This does include murder, but he's not all that great at killing so - even if he tries - most murder attempts would fail hilariously.
Bier is addicted to puzzles. As in, he eats the pieces. Because his core is much like a small furnace, he can even take damage from "normal" food or energy drinks. Alcohol and wood is all he wants to eat, and puzzle pieces manage to taste perfect while being a good snack-size. He always carries a bag of puzzle pieces during long trips, but has different bags for different puzzles so that Bitz can lay out any whole puzzle while they're resting. For smaller trips, though, he doesn't bring any and relies on Bitz during any unexpected hunger pains.
Bitz
Bitz is quite young and unsure about most of the things a shapeshifter is meant to do, and as such just follows her brother's lead. She doesn't like saying against him, but isn't as naíve as Bier and thus stays on her guard in suspicious situations. She knows how dangerous things can get, and thus if told to hide or do a certain thing by Bier, she WILL do it - for days on end. She will fight in a pinch, but it's quite easy for her to freeze up if frightened, so she prefers not to leave her brother's side.
Bitz is addicted to energy drinks, and is always seen carrying one around. Not content with tilting the drink or her head to drink while walking, she always uses a straw. She carries a small, 12-piece puzzle in the scarf around her neck, as an emergency ration for her brother.
The goggles on her head don't actually do anything - Bier can lower a visor in front of his eyes to protect them, but Bitz can't and felt jealous about his ability until she found the goggles. They're mostly for show.
